I can’t draw a straight line.
And that is the sweet luxury of art. It is the freedom of expression. Lay it down.
When I get a chance, I play with my memory to recreate my experiences in loose, childlike (inspired & uninhibited) drawings and paintings in my sketchbooks. (Check out The Process)
Colours, compositions, sentiment get worked out roughly, and then I turn to the larger canvas. (Or Paper, or Wood)
I paint because I love it. It is expressive, thoughtful, and immersive. It is a puzzle I can't set down.
There is no goal; and the process delivers the results. If I had to nail down an intention for my art - it is personal sanity, and a desire to charm. It is more fun to share. To have someone feel delighted, amused, curious, paused........... That is good.
